From medieval Japan, a word ‘wabi’ was created to “identify beauty with unpretentious, simple…transient things. There was wabi to be enjoyed in an evening spent alone in a cottage…hearing the rain fall”.
It captures the essence of this design, where reduction is somehow more endearing than addition yet it was not set out to be about minimalism. It is essentially a home |

All these, set amidst simple, calm walls that has no desire for overt embellishments.
