Every inch of this 10,000sqft place from outdoors to indoors is designed for. The magnitude of details covers from a 60metre long boundary fence to the discerning facing of a tap.
For an old house on a hexagon-shaped land with 2 pointed ends, low roof lines & nooks of tight interiors, works like adding a free-form pool, building a skylight for a gym, installing a spiral glass rail, are achieved not without constraints. Short of tearing the house down, we overhauled & enlarged the interior for a fresh sense of openness & modernized the classical façade.
Stone slabs, stained woods, silk, the abundance of greenery & large windows, were integrated for a new, tropical feel. Deliberately excluding the ubiquitous chandelier, furnishing details like accents of gold, leather, countless fine Persian rugs & imported furniture in the most unexpected pairings, exude a restrained luxuriousness.
