ASPEN HEIGHTS
For an apartment with its main door alongside a long, dark kitchen, natural daylight is blocked & the kitchen, being the 1st area in view, has to be an eye-catcher. Modern day’s kitchen serves more than utilitarian purposes, it has everyone chatting, cooking, eating, reading & working inside simultaneously. We tore down the dingy kitchen’s walls & have a huge L-shaped counter enveloping a cooking space. It defines areas in an open-concept & is multi-functional as a prep top & bar/ breakfast niche. A new all-white palette is used to absorb light into the kitchen, with a blush satin mirror added for a dash of color.
We apply a contemporary palette to rejuvenate the apartment. Grey, black & white dominate the apartment’s dining & living room, softened with all the texture & tactile around: the greens from the plant, the silver in the marble coffee table, the turquoise of the large artwork. Bedrooms & bathrooms are cushy in earth colors, with 1 wall of unpolished beige marble squares in a new bath being a key feature.
